| GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS |
- The primer should be mounted securely to the vehicle with the brackets (provided on the primer) in an upright vertical posiion. The connections between the engine and the primers top cover and between the primers lower cover to the pumps suction port on the volute, should be equipped with non-collapsible flexible hoses to avoid any failure of the primer (hoses not provided).
- The location and the clearance of the primer should allow for visual observation and easy access. This allows the primer to be seen and shut off as soon as the water reaches the primer.
- The temperature of the primer is not to exceed 175°. This will avoid any damage to the primers plastic parts. The primer should therefore be mounted atleast 12" from any hot surfaces.
- It is recommended that the primer be placed as close to the vacuum source as possible. However, it can be placed anywhere on your vehicle and still operate effectively.
- In today's vehicles, there are not many options available for vacuum sources. However, most gasoline powered vehicles have a vacuum hose connected to the brake booster into which you can tap. The following procedures should be taken when tapping into the brake boosters hose.
- Be sure the engine is turned off before starting installation.
- The brake boosters vacuum hose should be cut in half and connected with a three way line adaptor (this can be obtained through any auto parts store).
- Reconnect the two halves of the vacuum hose using the three way adaptor.
- Connect one end of your non-collapsible flexible hose to the remaining end of the three way adaptor.
- A 3/8" M/F valve and a 3/8" x 1" closed nipple have been provided for the top part of the MP1000. Assemble the valve and the nipple and connect to the top cover of the MP1000 (the end with the pressure release plunger).
- Then connect the other end of your non-collapsible hose to the valve on the primer.
- Connect another non-collapsible hose from the lower cover of the MP1000 to the pumps suction port on the volute.

| TO OPERATE THE PRIMER |
- Simply start your vehicle and turn the valve handle (on the primer) to the "ON" position. Then follow the manufacturers procedure for starting and operating you pump.
- The primer should be functioning properly at this point.
- If the system does not operate properly after a few minutes, check for leaks throughout the system.
- Any future technical assistance can be provided.
